MCT 509 Corrosion Inhibitor for Potable Water System

MCT 509 is a liquid Zinc/Ortho Phosphate product that is designed to provide corrosion protection in potable water systems. The ingredients in MCT 509 act to inhibit corrosion by forming a protective, microscopic film on metal surfaces. This film acts as a barrier to minimize the release of iron, lead, copper, and other metals that can produces harmful effects in the system. Also, red water problems that result from corrosion is greatly reduced or eliminated.

MCT 509 is composed of ingredients accepted by the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) for use in potable water supplies. MCT 509 is approved for maximum use to 20 mg/L in the system. Also, the raw materials are recognized as safe (GRAS) according to the provisions in the Code of Federal Register.

Directions for Use:

MCT 509 should be fed proportional to water flow. An initial starting dosage of approximately 7-8 gallons MCT 509 per million gallons of system water is recommended. Typical dosage residuals range from 0.5-2 ppm phosphate by orthophosphate test procedure. Increase or decrease dosage depending on severity of system conditions. Test kit code 3114 for orthophosphate is recommended.
