RO 1301 Antiscalant for Reverse Osmosis Systems

RO 1301 is a polymeric antiscalant that inhibits inorganic scale formation on reverse osmosis membrane surfaces. RO 1301 functions by chemically interfering with crystal formation in the feedwater and reduces the potential for adhesion between scale particles and the membrane surface. Typical mineral constituents such as calcium and magnesium carbonates, sulfates, and colloidal clay particles are maintained in a soluble state and dispersed to minimize or eliminate scale potential. RO 1301 aids in prolonging membrane life and increases operational efficiency.

Product Application

The feed dosage of RO 1301 is based on the availability of a reliable feedwater analysis and details of operating conditions. However, it is common to use low feed dosages to maintain scale-forming minerals in suspension or solution. Generally, a dosage of 5-10 ppm product in the feedwater is sufficient for good control. If contaminants levels are extremely high, a slightly higher dosage level may be necessary.

Product Description

Feeding

Feed RO 1300 at a point after sand or other media filters and before the final cartridge filter, at a place where good in-line mixing will occur. Feed directly from the drum or dilute product with permeate water for feed to the system.

Handling

For industrial use only. Keep this and all other chemicals out of reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes or skin. Use with adequate ventilation and avoid breathing vapors. In case of contact, immediately flush eyes (lifting upper and lower lids) or skin with large amounts of water for at least 15 minutes. Call a physician.

Storage

Do not allow product to freeze.
